What is an NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Card?
Though many modern CPUs are equipped with integrated graphics, these are only really suitable for basic tasks such as web browsing and office applications. Therefore, you should seriously consider buying a separate graphics card if you want to play games or create your own graphics or videos.
The NVIDIA GeForce Range Explained
With prices ranging from around £1,500 to as little as £130, there’s an NVIDIA GeForce GPU for every gamer. The range is divided into two product groups, GeForce RTX and GeForce GTX, each with their own set of features and benefits. Here are some of the highlights to look out in the latest GeForce RTX 40-series cards.
What is GeForce Experience?
GeForce Experience is a collection of tools that enhance your gaming. ShadowPlay allows you to easily capture and share videos and screenshots without the need for multiple third-party utilities. You can also livestream your gaming triumphs with friends.
GeForce Experience also takes away the pain of finding the optimal graphics settings in games. Based on the hardware in your system it will automatically find the best settings for you based on a library of over 1,100 games.
GeForce Experience also provides regular and easy updates for the driver of your GeForce RTX graphics card ensuing you get the best frame rates and image quality in the latest games. Enhance your gaming PC by downloading GeForce Experience and NVIDIA GeForce drivers.
What is NVIDIA DLSS?
DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is an advanced AI-powered rendering technique unique to NVIDIA graphics cards that uses the Tensor cores to increase frame rates.
DLSS enables you ramp up the resolution to enjoy higher quality graphics, without sacrificing performance.
AI Powered Performance
DLSS is supported by hundreds of leading games, with more being added every month. There are several DLSS modes to choose from, including the top tier Ultra Performance mode that upscales games from 1440p to 8K for stunning visual fidelity.
What is NVIDIA Reflex?
NVIDIA Reflex delivers the ultimate competitive advantage. The lowest latency. The best responsiveness. Powered by GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs and NVIDIA® G-SYNC® monitors.
Acquire targets faster, react quicker, and increase aim precision through a revolutionary suite of technologies to measure and optimize system latency for competitive games.
Measure responsiveness
PC performance for competitive gaming is about responsiveness—how quickly your display updates after mouse click. NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer, built into new NVIDIA G-SYNC displays*, captures end-to-end system latency and delivers a
precise measure of your PC’s performance. Step confidently into battle knowing your PC is performing at peak level with GeForce RTX GPUs and NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer-compatible displays and mice.

What is NVIDIA Broadcast?
Steal the show with incredible graphics and smooth, stutter-free livestreaming. Next-generation hardware encoding and decoding combine to show off all your best moments in exquisite detail. And the all-new NVIDIA Broadcast app takes your livestreams to the next level with powerful AI capabilities to improve audio and video quality with effects like virtual background, webcam auto frame, and microphone noise removal. GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs deliver the performance and image quality you need to give your audience your best—every time.
AI-powered Broadcast app
The Broadcast app offers three AI-powered features:
Noise Removal: remove background noise from your microphone feed – be it a dog barking or the doorbell ringing. The AI network can even be used on incoming audio feeds to mute that one keyboard-mashing friend who won’t turn
on push-to-talk.
Virtual Background: remove the background of your webcam feed and replace it with game footage, a replacement image, or even a subtle blur.
Auto Frame: zooms in on you and uses AI to track your head movements, keeping you at the center of the action even as you shift from side to side. It’s like having your own cameraperson.
What is RTX IO?
Instant game loading and stutter free navigation through endless open worlds has long been a goal of gamers and developers alike. Even with the incredible performance of Gen4 NVMe SSDs, this goal has remained out of reach. Modern game engines have exceeded the capability of traditional storage APIs; a new generation of I/O architecture is needed.
How NVIDIA RTX IO Works
NVIDIA RTX IO plugs into Microsoft’s upcoming DirectStorage API, which is a next-generation storage architecture designed specifically for gaming PCs equipped with state-of-the-art NVMe SSDs, and the complex workloads that modern games
require. Together, the streamlined and parallelized APIs, specifically tailored for games, allow dramatically reduced IO overhead and maximize performance/bandwidth from NVMe SSD to your RTX IO-enabled GPU.
Specifically, NVIDIA RTX IO brings GPU-based lossless decompression, allowing reads through DirectStorage to remain compressed while being delivered to the GPU for decompression. This removes the load from the CPU, moving
the data from storage to the GPU in its more efficient, compressed form, and improving I/O performance by a factor of 2.
What is Omniverse Machinima?
Machinima is a term used to describe the use of real-time computer graphics engines to create a cinematic production. Typically, these stories are realised by repurposing video game assets to generate animated films for sharing on the
web. Creators have been producing these types of online stories using content from a mix of 3D games, assets, and effects since the 1980s.
NVIDIA Omniverse Machinima enables gamers across the world to easily master the art of storytelling by using 3D objects, animated by NVIDIA AI technologies.
How Omniverse Machinima works
Through NVIDIA Omniverse, creators can import assets from supported games or most 3rd party asset libraries into the platform. Creators can then automatically animate characters using an AI-based pose estimator and footage from their webcam. Characters' faces can come to life with only a voice recording using NVIDIA's new Audio2Face technology. Reality is effortlessly recreated with high-fidelity physics like particles and fluids, and physically accurate materials. After mixing, playing, and composing the scenes, path-traced rendering technology is enabled with one-click to final output with the highest fidelity using Omniverse RTX Renderer.
What is DXR Real Time Ray Tracing?
Games that support the latest DXR ray tracing look simply stunning. Ray tracing simulates how light beams and shadows actually work, providing far more rich and realistic graphics. While ray tracing as a technique has been used for decades in pre-rendered films, what makes GeForce RTX GPUs unique is that they are powerful enough to produce ray traced graphics in real time.
