Less than 250g Category A1 UAS can be flown over uninvolved persons with restrictions. However, you must not fly over assemblies of people. These UAS are capable entry level platforms with high quality cameras in a tiny package.

A2 UAS may be flown in the A3 subcategory of the Open Category far from people and have a maximum weight of less than 4kg. A certificate of competency is required to fly these UAS in the A2 subcategory see buyers guide for more details.

The Category A3 UAS may not be flown close to people, must maintain 150m from residential, commercial, industrial or recreational areas. Maximum Take off Weight of <25kg. All smaller UAS may be flown in this category.
