meeting the demandThe APNX AP1-V has been engineered with cutting edge cooling performance. It utilises a five 6mm heat pipe design with Heat Core Touch Technology to efficiently dissipate heat away from your CPU. HCTT is a result of precision engineering, achieving a seamless connection with your CPU. This optimises thermal conductivity whilst also maintaining stable operating temperatures.

Thanks to these innovations, the APNX AP1-V can tackle a massive amount of heat. It has a total TDP of 245W, an enhanced heat capacity. This allows your PC to keep up with even the most demanding processors.

PWM ARGB FANExhausting the heat from this unit is a 120mm PWM ARGB fan. Equipped with a fluid dynamic bearing, this fan has great longevity and has been optimised for smoother and quieter performance overall. It operates between 600 and 1800RPM, with a maximum airflow of 76.3CFM and static pressure of 3.36mmH2O. What’s more, the maximum noise level is just 32.8dBA, for whisper quiet cooling even at top speeds.

Intel Branding Part I
Intel Branding Part I
Date Issued: 1st Jul 2009

Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.
