Connecting Images and Imagination
Sony have an unmatched pedigree when it comes to all things imaging. Since the introduction of their first digital camera in 1988, their camera range has grown incredibly going from strength to strength. The most recent triumph in the digital imaging world is the Sony α (alpha) range. Targeted at the photography and videography shooters, the Alpha lineup has brought unbeatable quality and feature sets to the mirrorless format.
Good things come in small packages
The Sony α lineup brings features from both photography and cinematography worlds into a small DSLM body for incredible mobility whilst capturing your images. With huge ISO ranges allowing you to shoot incredible quality in low light conditions, super-fast autofocus system and 4K resolution for video, you have everything you could need to shoot your next project.
BIONZ-X
The cutting-edge “BIONZ” Imaging Processor, first introduced on the Sony α DSLR, takes advantage of Sony’s accumulated imaging technology to digitally process the high-resolution image data from the sensor at high speeds to deliver clear, high-resolution images with natural colour reproduction and minimal noise. Advanced capabilities of “BIONZ” allow it to support unique technology such as Face Detection and DRO (Dynamic Range Optimiser)
1 Mount, hundreds of lenses
Sony’s one mount concept is the perfect marriage of Sony’s advanced imaging technology with their E-mount platform. Compact and lightweight, E-mount connects APS-C to full-frame, Alpha mirrorless cameras to pro camcorders and entry level to high-end gear. Use full-frame lenses on APS-C bodies, and even attach E-mount lenses to professional camcorders. The E-mount lenses aren’t solely aimed at video or stills photography. When paired with Sony’s state of the art camera bodies, normal challenges like lens breathing and chromatic shifts are supressed whilst click-less iris control gives takes the headache out of shooting video.
