Drones

High performance drones for professional aerial video

Drones range from relatively cheap models, essentially for fun, up to enterprise level versions designed for gathering high definition aerial video footage for professional filming, video analysis or maintenance functions. They can be either fixed wing type or quadcopter - a propeller blade in each corner. The majority of drones for filming and video uses are of this latter type as it offers superior stability when moving and hovering. Drones can be roughly classified into three groups - prosumer, professional and enterprise - most commonly based on the resolution of video they can capture and the available add-on options to view footage in real-time, such as monitors or goggles.
