Fast, Bright, Vivid
Experience stunning colours, sharp contrast, and fluid motion with some of the best displays gaming laptops have to offer. See your content as the creator intended, and react to your enemies before they even know you're there.
Ultra-Fast Motion
Response times are also crucial to a display's performance, indicating how quickly individual pixels can switch from one shade to another, usually grey-to-grey. With ultra-fast response times of 3ms or less, Nebula Displays aren't haunted by the spectre of ghosting. The standard also requires high refresh rates across every resolution (4K 120Hz or higher / QHD 120Hz or higher / FHD 240Hz or higher), guaranteeing a clear and sharp image in all scenarios. This is aided even further by a MUX Switch, which allows the GPU to send frames directly to the display for the lowest latency and highest performance.
Dazzling Brightness
Brighter displays allow for a clearer picture, especially in well-lit rooms or outdoors. While typical laptop displays can produce around 300 nits of brightness, ROG's Nebula Displays can hit up to 500 nits for a bright, clear image.
Dark areas are just as important as bright ones, though. A display's contrast ratio denotes how dark its blacks can get at a certain brightness level-the higher the contrast ratio, the deeper the blacks. Nebula Displays are capable of a 1200:1 contrast ratio, allowing images to appear bright and punchy without appearing washed out, so you never miss an enemy hiding in the shadows.
Vibrant Colour
The traditional sRGB space can only produce a fraction of the colours visible to the human eye. A display with 100% DCI-P3 coverage encompasses a broader range of hues for more vivid, true-to-life colours, using the same colour palette as modern HDR movies.
It's not enough to have more colours, though-they need to be accurate to the creator's intent. Pantone LLC is an acclaimed company best known for creating the Pantone Matching System (PMS) frequently used in graphic design, fashion, print, and manufacturing. Pantone Validated certification is given to displays that are proven to reproduce colours with superb fidelity to the globally recognized Pantone Matching System.
Finally, Nebula Displays are TÜV Rheinland Certified, ensuring they are low blue light compliant and flicker-free, preventing eyestrain during long gaming or content creation sessions.
ROG Nebula HDR
The Nebula Display™ specification has raised the bar for ROG's display leadership. However, the Nebula HDR Display™ moves the standard even further. Requiring 1100 nits of peak brightness, VESA DisplayHDR certification, and 512 dimming zones, these panels provide incredible HDR performance. Despite this incredibly high peak, colour vibrance is maintained across the brightness spectrum.
Mini LED Technology
Typical LCD panels use a small group of LED lights to project an image on-screen. But because those lights are always on, black parts of the screen can look grey, making the image look washed out.
100,000:1 High Contrast Ratio
A display's contrast ratio is the measurable difference between the brightest and darkest part of the screen. Typical IPS displays have a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Dark images can be accentuated by lowering the screen brightness, but this compromises the brightest sections of the scene, and vice-versa.
Mini LEDs are much smaller than typical LEDs, with diodes smaller than 0.2mm. Display engineers can pack these diodes in much more densely than on typical displays, allowing for 512 separate zones of mini LEDs that can dim themselves individually. This creates darker blacks and brighter highlights, for a stunning image that truly pops.
Nebula HDR Engine
The Nebula HDR engine is a purpose built algorithm capable of reducing haloing by up to 25%. Trained on an instruction set of more than 150 videos and over 2000 still photos, the algorithm is able to dynamically adjust the HDR lighting needed to keep any haloing from the dimming zones to a minimum.
ROG ScreenPad Plus
As a second display, the ROG ScreenPad™ Plus offers more real estate for gaming controls, streaming, and content creation.
Super-Narrow Bezels
Super-narrow bezels allow for a larger screen in the same chassis, providing a more immersive gaming experience and extra space for productivity in a compact device.
